Nashville was one for the record books, with a former president singing his praises for Bitcoin and hungover conference attendees injecting ‘liquid Bitcoin’ (IV solution) to revive themselves at the Mezo booth.
Between it all, the Thesis team was out in full force, spreading the word about what we are building across the portfolio. And what a busy week it was:
- Fold announced they are going public via SPAC
- Mezo announced a strategic investment led by none other than Ledger Cathay Fund
- Acre’s Season 1 liquid Bitcoin staking product, stBTC, went live
It’s been quite a week trying to recover from the rush. We learned a lot and returned energized with new ideas and perspectives from the Bitcoin community. As everyone at the conference headed their separate ways across the globe, it’s fair to say that we all walked away bullish for what is to come in the world of Bitcoin.
#Events and Panels
You can see our recap video for a quick pulse on the conference vibe.
The event started with high energy at the Mezo booth, where we shared information on what Mezo aims to achieve with BitcoinFi.
Conference attendees were eyeing our Bitcoin Puppet shoes and lining up to get a liquid Bitcoin injection to reenergize and hydrate:
Acre Co-founder and Thesis VP of Business Development Brian Mahoney shared his thoughts on two panels covering the Bitcoin staking market.
On the panel with CoreDAO and Babylon, Brian discussed the potential ‘risk-free’ rate of Bitcoin yield and how to provide a friendly experience for the entire spectrum of crypto users, from newcomers to experts.
We’re looking forward to seeing how some of their takes age over time as the Bitcoin staking market grows!
For events outside of the conference, Mezo hosted an event with a heavy-hitting crew of Bitcoin builders: BitGo, Stacks, Acre, Leather, and MoonPay. It was a great chance to network over drinks and some classic Nashville country music outside the venue.
Thursday evening found us at the Bitcoin Barcade hosted by Magic Eden. Between all of the Skee-Ball and Racing games, people were lining up to cosplay as cowboys on the mechanical bull.
Between the massive portfolio announcements and meeting friendly faces on the ground, Nashville was yet another successful event for the Thesis community.
