About the Role
Thesis Defense is seeking skilled experienced Security Auditors with various backgrounds and areas of expertise to join our team. Security Auditors are responsible for conducting comprehensive and rigorous security audits of both on-chain and off-chain technologies and protocols, including smart contracts, decentralized applications (dApps) like wallets and browser extensions, bridges, cryptographic protocols, consensus mechanisms, digital assets, and more. This role involves analyzing and assessing the security measures of decentralized systems, identifying vulnerabilities, and recommending solutions to minimize the potential attack surface and improve a project’s overall security posture.
The ideal candidate should possess deep knowledge of security vulnerabilities in their particular technology / language of expertise, security principles, and the latest in security threats targeting the crypto and web3 ecosystem. This role demands a proactive approach to identifying and mitigating security risks and providing insight into measures to protect data against unauthorized access or breaches in a landscape where innovation and security are paramount.
About Thesis Defense
Thesis Defense serves as the auditing services arm within Thesis, Inc., the venture studio behind tBTC, Fold, Taho, Etcher, and Embody. Our team of senior security and cryptography auditors has extensive experience in the decentralized technology space. In addition, the Thesis Defense team has a demonstrated track record in a variety of languages and technologies, including, but not limited to, smart contracts, cryptographic protocols including zk-cryptography, dApps including wallets and browser extensions, and bridges. Thesis Defense has extensive experience conducting security audits across a number of ecosystems, including, but not limited to, Ethereum, Zcash, Aleo, Mina, Cosmos, and Bitcoin.
As a security auditing team, we are at the forefront of the rapidly evolving crypto and decentralized tech space. Our team of skilled security auditors is responsible for assessing whether projects adhere to security due diligence protocols and best practices, and helping them improve their security in order to minimize the potential for vulnerabilities, broaden their adoption, and improve the overall security of the crypto ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct thorough, in-depth security audits across various systems, networks, and applications to identify vulnerabilities and risks.
Analyze and evaluate cryptographic protocols and encryption techniques used to ensure they meet the highest security standards.
Develop and implement robust security policies and procedures tailored to the unique challenges of each project being audited.
Collaborate with development teams to integrate security practices into the development lifecycle.
Prepare detailed audit reports, documenting audit findings, implications, providing clear and actionable recommendations for addressing identified security issues.
Stay abreast of emerging security threats, vulnerabilities, and controls in the crypto space, continuously adapting audit strategies to mitigate new risks.
Provide expert guidance on regulatory compliance and best practices related to security and privacy standards.
Facilitate security training sessions for technical and non-technical team members to foster a culture of security awareness.
Perform penetration testing and vulnerability assessments on a wide range of crypto projects and technologies (optional)
Qualifications
Proven experience in security auditing, with a deep understanding of blockchain technology, smart contracts, and decentralized systems.
Professional security certifications specific to blockchain technology are highly desirable.
Working knowledge/ expertise of one or more of the following programming languages used in blockchain development, such as Solidity, TypeScript / JavaScript, Go, or Rust is essential.
Ability to understand complex concepts including source code, system components and their interactions, and the business logic of a protocol.
Ability to formulate attack vectors and identify security vulnerabilities.
General knowledge of cryptographic protocols and algorithms, with a thorough understanding of their application and vulnerabilities in the crypto space.

This is a unique opportunity to significantly amplify the capabilities of our General Counsel, by owning numerous legal workstreams and acting as embedded General Counsel for our portfolio companies while shaping the legal framework for next-generation decentralized finance.
You will be instrumental in drafting, reviewing and negotiating a wide range of DeFi commercial agreements including market making, liquidity provision, and protocol partnership agreements; working cross-functionally with product, engineering, and business development teams to identify and resolve product counsel issues; developing regulatory strategies for novel DeFi products; and building scalable legal infrastructure for a rapidly growing ecosystem.
Key responsibilities
Commercial and protocol operations:
Structure and negotiate complex commercial arrangements including: protocol-to-protocol integrations, institutional custody agreements, OTC trading arrangements, strategic token swaps, and grant programs
Draft and negotiate venture investment documents, SAFTs, token warrants, and other Web3-native investment instruments
Develop standardized legal frameworks for DeFi primitives including automated market makers, lending protocols, liquid staking, and cross-chain bridges
Review and advise on smart contract architecture from a legal risk perspective
Regulatory and compliance:
Monitor evolving global cryptocurrency regulations and advise on implications for product roadmaps
Oversee KYC/AML/sanctions compliance programs, including risk-based decision frameworks and on-chain monitoring protocols
Assist with development of policies for SEC, CFTC, FinCEN, and OFAC compliance in the context of decentralized systems
Product and technology counsel:
Collaborate with product teams from ideation through launch, identifying legal risks and designing compliant product features
Advise on intellectual property strategy including open-source licensing, patent strategy, and trademark protection
Support developer relations initiatives including hackathons, grants programs, validator program and ecosystem funds
Review technical documentation, whitepapers, and marketing materials for regulatory compliance
Corporate and governance:
Structure entity formations for DAOs, foundations, and operating companies across multiple jurisdictions
Design and implement token holder governance frameworks and voting mechanisms
Manage corporate housekeeping for portfolio companies including board meetings, equity management, and subsidiary coordination
Support M&A transactions, strategic partnerships, and joint ventures in the Web3 space
Risk management and operations:
Develop and maintain legal playbooks for common scenarios (security incidents, regulatory investigations, litigation)
Build risk matrices for new product launches and business initiatives

Qualifications
Required qualifications:
Experience: 6-10 years of combined experience at top-tier law firms and/or in-house legal departments, with at least 3 years focused on blockchain, cryptocurrency, or fintech
Education: J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school with strong academic credentials
Bar admission: Active membership in at least one U.S. state bar
Technical competency: Demonstrated understanding of blockchain technology, smart contracts, consensus mechanisms, and cryptographic primitives
Regulatory knowledge: Deep familiarity with securities laws, commodities regulations, money transmission laws, and Bank Secrecy Act requirements as applied to digital assets
Preferred qualifications:

About the Associate Accountant
The Associate Accountant position offers early-career professionals an excellent opportunity to build a strong foundation in financial fundamentals while gaining exposure to cutting-edge crypto accounting practices. What You'll Do
Core Accounting Responsibilities
Month-End Close Support: Assist with month-end close processes, prepare journal entries, assist with intercompany elimination process, and perform account reconciliations across multiple entities
AR/AP Management: Handle accounts receivable and accounts payable processes, including vendor management, invoice processing, and payment coordination
Crypto Accounting: Learn and apply crypto accounting principles, including token valuations, DeFi transactions, and digital asset management under US GAAP
Financial Reporting: Prepare supporting schedules, assist with management reporting, and support investor update preparation
General Ledger Maintenance: Maintain accurate general ledger records and ensure proper transaction coding and documentation
Audit Preparation: Support audit readiness by maintaining organized documentation and clean books and help establish proper financial controls
Compliance: Ensure accounting practices comply with relevant regulations and internal policies
Accounting Research: Support researching relevant US GAAP literature and guidance to assess proper accounting classification of transactions and reporting obligation under US GAAP (i.e. acquisition and divestiture, M&A, PPA, goodwill, non-standard investment contracts etc.)
Administrative & Support Responsibilities
Process Documentation: Help create and maintain accounting policies and procedures to support scaling operations
Financial Systems: Assist with accounting software management and help train team members on financial processes

Requirements
Essential Qualifications
CPA qualified or, at the very least passed all sections of CPA exam
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
1-2 years of experience in accounting or finance (internships and co-op programs count!)
(Experience with Big4 or top tier large national CPA firms is a plus, but not required)
Strong proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets
General understanding of accounting software

About the Social Media Manager role
Thesis* is seeking an experienced Social Media Manager to increase awareness, accelerate growth, and engagement across two portfolio companies (Lolli & Slice). The ideal candidate is detail-orientated, growth-focused and an innovative professional who consistently strives for excellence.
Your passion to educate others and act as a strategic partner as well as a executing function in a fast paced environment is a welcome challenge. You will lead our social media strategy for our two rewards products, responsible for building, executing plans that align to the portfolio objectives.
You’ll be working on brands that have strong communities and big ambitions, but also face the unique challenges of standing out in a fast-changing space. Managing Lolli and Slice requires more than just catchy content — it’s about shaping narratives, guiding perception, and building trust in an environment where audiences are sharp, skeptical, and vocal. Success here means balancing growth with reputation, turning complex products into clear, compelling stories, and creating momentum around partnerships, launches, and the Thesis ecosystem.
What You’ll Do
Ideate, plan, create and deploy engaging content across multiple owned social platforms and third party communities; Including X/Twitter, Discord, Reddit and more.
Develop and execute on a comprehensive social media strategy for Slice and Lolli and enhance brand awareness, online presence and engagement of each brand.
Strengthen brand perception and rebuild trust by addressing community feedback, improving sentiment across platforms (including review sites), and developing initiatives that highlight positive user experiences.
Measure, report, and analyze the performance of campaigns across channels and translate findings into actionable, data-driven recommendations in order to improve future performance and iterate on strategy.
Create processes and documentation so that the social media team can be scaled when necessary.
Collaborate cross-functionally to amplify and curate product and ecosystem-related news with our content team to bring our brands and tone of voice to life.
Requirements
>3 years of demonstrated experience as a Social Media Manager or in a similar role, with a proven track record managing large channels with a high volume of followers
Proven experience in reputation management, with the ability to address negative sentiment, rebuild trust, and improve brand perception across social and review platforms.
Extensive knowledge of various social media platforms and industry best practices.
Creative problem-solver with keen attention to detail.
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Adept content creation skills, including copy writing, graphic design, animation and video editing.
Proficient user of social analytics and listening tools with the skills to match

Day-to-Day Responsibilities
P&L Management: Own the company's P&L, including developing and managing budgets, forecasting revenue, and optimizing spending to drive profitability and growth.
Sales & Business Development: Drive revenue growth by identifying and securing new merchant partnerships and building strong relationships with existing ones.
Team Leadership: Collaborate closely with product, engineering, and marketing teams to align on strategy and execute initiatives that increase user acquisition, engagement, and retention.
Strategic Growth: Identify new business opportunities and market trends within the Bitcoin Fi ecosystem to expand Lolli's product offerings and user base.
Market Intelligence: Stay abreast of the competitive landscape, including other loyalty programs, Bitcoin Fi protocols, and crypto exchanges, to inform business strategy.
Go-to-Market Strategy: Develop and execute comprehensive go-to-market strategies for new products and features.
Customer Care: Oversee a customer care team, ensuring a high CSAT and efficient resolution.
Required Qualifications
Proven experience in a senior leadership role, such as General Manager or Head of Sales/Biz Dev, with direct ownership of a P&L.
Strong background in sales, business development, or partnerships, with a track record of driving significant revenue growth.
Deep familiarity and/or experience with the Bitcoin Fi (BTCFi) ecosystem and the broader crypto market.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Nice-to-Have Qualifications
Experience working in a startup environment, particularly within a venture studio.
Existing network and relationships within the crypto and retail industries.
Experience with a consumer-facing product, preferably with a rewards product or gift card marketplace.
Benefits
We work in a fun, fast-paced environment that operates by collaborating both remotely and in person when we can. The offered salary range $145,000 - $180,000 per year represents base cash compensation only and is exclusive of any equity, tokens or bonuses. The specific compensation will be determined by the candidate's experience and alignment with company goals.
