We had a blast in Brussels for ETHCC, meeting builders and users from all over.

The most significant takeaway everyone walked away with is that Bitcoin and the EVM are converging.

Thanks to more performative Layer 2 networks, users are ready to become more productive with their Bitcoin holdings, and EVM developers are bringing their applications to Bitcoin.

It isn't just the sentiment that feels strong — the numbers show that over 60% of current and upcoming solutions use the EVM.

Over the years, there have been promising developments regarding improved flexibility and use of Bitcoin across blockchains. But today, things feel different. The tides are shifting. Bitcoin is becoming a productive asset, and the energy was palpable at ETHCC.

With Thesis events hosted by Mezo, Acre, BitGo, Staking Circle, and Pantera Capital, we met many people looking forward to the future of Bitcoin. Here's what we were up to last week.

#BTC Summit

The BTC summit discussed the future of Bitcoin as a productive asset — something that all companies within the Thesis umbrella are familiar with.

Our presence at the event, organized by our friends at Staking Circle, was marked by insightful panel discussions.

Acre Co-founder Brian Mahoney and Threshold Network Core Contributor Sap shared their insights on the evolving Bitcoin season.

Another highlight was the Bitcoin L2s panel featuring Mezo Founding Contributor Yogi. The discussion delved into Layer 2's impact on Bitcoin's scalability and utility.

Thanks to everyone who attended the event and contributed to the discussion!

#Hashing it Out Over Fries

One of the most delightful side events at ETHCC was "Hashing it Out Over Fries," presented by Mezo, Acre, and Pantera Capital. This event combined great food and even better conversations about BitcoinFi, making it a hit among attendees.

#Bitcoin Shark Tank

Presented by BOB, the Bitcoin Shark Tank event saw Brian educating a panel of experts and investors about Acre's user journey and primary value propositions.

The future of Bitcoin staking is bright. Thanks to Acre, users can access a simple and easy Bitcoin in, Bitcoin out staking experience.

#Bitcoin in Brussels

In collaboration with BitGo and Stacks, Mezo celebrated the growth of Bitcoin L2s.

The "Bitcoin in Brussels" event perfectly blended networking and celebration. It recognized how far Bitcoin development has come and explored opportunities for the future.image.png
